Students for a Democratic Society, a DVC club, plan to express their disapproval of the proposed parking fee hike by protesting in the main quad tomorrow.
The Associated Students of DVC are scheduled to vote on whether to endorse the proposal at their meeting at 2 p.m. on the same day.
SDS president Brian Donovan told The Inquirer that his club hopes to encourage ASDVC members not to back the parking fee hike. SDS plans to pass out leaflets outlining their views and to encourage students to attend Tuesday’s ASDVC meeting.
According to a copy of a leaflet given to The Inquirer, SDS “demands” that the ASDVC oppose the parking fee increase, organize a rally and letter writing campaign, and support an up-coming state-wide student protest.
