Jill Biden and the White House will be hosting the first-ever summit on community colleges in the country in Washington D.C. tomorrow.
President Barack Obama asked Biden to convene the summit in an effort to lead the world in proportion of college graduates by 2020.
Educators, students, businesspeople, and lawmakers will be on hand to discuss the role and issues of the community college system in the United States.
The summit will go for about three hours, starting at 9:15 a.m. and ending at noon.
Helen Benjamin, the chancellor of the Contra Costa Community College District, will be attending the event. She plans on discussing financial aid and its role for community college students.
People are encouraged to submit videos and join in the online dialogue on www.whitehouse.gov/communitycollege.
