March 8 marks International Women’s Day, a tradition that has been continued for years.
This year’s theme is “Connecting girls, inspiring futures.”
DVC will be doing its part by celebrating Women’s History Month throughout March with the “Movers and Shakers” workshops being held over three Thursday nights.
Tonight starts off the events with with a viewing and discussion of the film “Iron Jawed Angels,” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A panel discussion will be held on March 15 regarding the 40th Anniversary of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
A discussion of the Statue of Women Campaign of 1975 will be held on March 22.
All events will take place in the DVC Trophy Room.
