Diablo Valley College women’s volleyball team lost their final home game of the season 3-2 against San Joaquin Delta College Mustangs on Nov. 11.

The Vikings are now on a five game losing streak. Their last win was on Oct. 21 against Cosumnes River College.

DVC started the game well and won the first set. They were winning 2-1 at the end of the third set, but let the game slip away from them. The Mustangs came back and beat the Vikings in the final two sets of the game and walked away with the win.

The Vikings have lost over half of the games they’ve played this season and only won a third of the conference games played.

They started the season off strong and won four of their first five games before the season took a turn. DVC lost their next three game including their first conference game against American River College on Sep. 16.

DVC ended their three game losing streak the following week against Cosumnes River College and won two of their next three games after that.

A 3-1 loss against Sierra College on Oct. 7 marked the beginning of the Vikings mid to end of season losing streak. DVC has only won two of the nine games they’ve played since then.

The Vikings last game of the season is on Nov. 16 at Folsom Lake College.
